BigLife Magazine is a fresh and dymamic lifestyle magazine dedicated to the big lives we live and experience in the mountains— the recreation, the arts and culture, the innovators, the entrepreneurs, the characters, the big issues, the architecture and design, the ideas, and so much more, It is an enthusiast publication devoted to all the things that contribute to an authentic mountain experience.
The first thing would-be BigLife Mighty Team members should do is study back issues to get a sense of BigLife tone and style. Our mission is to capture the authentic mountain life, to be smart about it, and to be inclusive—we want urban dwellers daydreaming about their next mountain getaway as well as lifetime locals to be inspired and feel like this magazine talks to them. We encourage smarts, humor and wit (but not forced), authenticity, and honesty.
The BigLife reader has high expectations and writers should aim to exceed those. Don’t be afraid to challenge the reader, present new perspectives, offer controversial insights. But, more than anything, be real rather than overly polished.
Writers are encouraged to study recent back issues for content and style. Copies are $5.95 each plus shipping and handling. Contact us for a back issue. We do not accept fiction, poetry, or previously published articles.
